Emotional Freedom Techniques

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a simple and effective self-help technique and a therapeutic tool, sometimes known as “acupuncture without needles”.

Emotional Freedom Technique was developed in the 1990s in the US by Gary Craig and it is one of the Family of Meridian Therapies, which are part of the recent developments in Energy Psychology.

EFT combines stimulation of a series of acupressure points with cognitive restructuring (specially worded affirmations) that often leads to rapid positive shifts in thinking patterns and emotional issues.
The basics of EFT can be learnt in minutes, and it can be applied to provide relief from a wide variety of emotional, mental and physical symptoms, including:

Fear and Anxiety

Addictive cravings

Phobias

Limiting beliefs

Traumas

Aches, pains & tensions

Obsessive-compulsive disorders

Insomnia

…and many other issues

A typical session incorporating EFT will last about 45 minutes.

During the session I will be teaching you the EFT procedure and asking you some questions about the issues concerning you and teaching you visualisation and relaxation techniques.

You may be asked to carry out some small tasks at home between sessions, for example: practice EFT, keeping a journal or logbook. The beauty of EFT is that it can be used anywhere anytime and it is very easy to learn.
